The Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (LAGLCC) hosted the Western Business Alliance (WBA) LGBT Economic Summit & Conference at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles on March 14—16, 2019 .
The WBA was founded in 1994 as an opportunity for LGBT chambers throughout the Western United States to advocate on behalf of the LGBT economic equality movement, share ‘best practices’ and serve as the collective voice of the LGBT business community in the West. This year’s Summit was attended by thought-leaders from twenty-two local LGBT chambers across the Western United States.
This year’s conference focused attention on issues facing our business community and the LGBT community at large, including Growing and Building a Successful Business, Marketing to Millennials, LGBT Housing and Homelessness, Best Practices for Transgender Inclusion in the Workplace, and Creating Influence.
Speakers included Los Angeles City Council President Herb Wesson, Los Angeles City Controller Ron Galperin, LAGLCC President Emeritus Mark Morales and other local business and community leaders.
The 2020 Western Business Alliance LGBT Economic Summit & Conference will hosted by the Albuquerque LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce in March 2020.
