WASHINGTON, /DiversityComm/ – The Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR), one of the nation’s leading organizations for the inclusion of Hispanics in Corporate America, concluded its inaugural HACR Latina Empow(h)er Summit™ (LES) at the Four Seasons Westlake near Los Angeles and released its HACR Research Institute report Empow(h)er™: Understanding Workplace Barriers for Latinas, which explores the barriers for advancement of Latinas in Corporate America.
The HACR LES was created to provide high ranking Latina corporate professionals a leadership advancement program that addresses the internal and external priorities unique to Latina professionals. During this program, attendees participated in two-days of empowering professional sessions, including a day-long Latina-focused board readiness program facilitated by the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), TEDx-style sessions from thought leaders, and panels with high level corporate executives and board directors.
During the inaugural LES, HACR released its research report Empow(h)er™: Understanding Workplace Barriers for Latinas, which shares findings from a study on the obstacles that Latinas face towards their career progression. It also provides strategies for Latinas to help combat the obstacles they may face to advancement.
